Los Angeles for Resilient and Healthy Homes

A coalition of labor, environmental, and housing justice organizations advocating for equitable residential building decarbonization in
Los Angeles.

We believe that eliminating climate pollution from buildings is a critical step in making L.A. healthier and more resilient for all, and that our homes are a great place to start. But as government begins to mandate new clean energy standards for the buildings Angelenos live in, we must ensure these policies:

Benefit communities of color and low-income communities, which have historically been most impacted by environmental pollution and the detrimental effects of climate change

Do not lead to unintended consequences for renters, such as greater rent burden, evictions, or loss of affordability in rent-stabilized housing.

Create family-sustaining union jobs, prioritize local and targeted hiring, and develop the next generation of climate workers
